Old vines are key to making stand-out chenin, and the grapes for this wine grow on old bush vines in the Swartland and Stellenbosch regions. Slow Chenin Blanc is crafted the wild way – old vine fruit, fermented with wild yeast found naturally on the grapes…not in a packet. This magical transformation takes at least six months.
The wild yeasts and old bush vines used to grow the grapes are what really give this wine its stand-out character, which is the lovely texture you can feel as you sip the wine, as well as the balance between flavours and acidity. Real care and respect for nature has gone into the wine making - the grapes have been sustainably farmed to ensure that no future generation has to go without this delicious wine.

Swartland continues to set the agenda in South Africa as its winemakers push the boundaries of what this influential wine region can achieve. Combined with grapes from Stellenbosch, which is one of the oldest wine producing regions in South Africa, this wine combines modernity and tradition.
