About this wine
It may sound crazy, but this wine starts life as a "normal" wine, made with 100% German Riesling grapes, at a standard alcohol level. It then goes through a de-alcoholisation process, which reduces the the ABV to tiny amounts, but crucially, allows all the delicious original flavours of the wine to remain, just without the hangover-inducing alcohol.
A great addition to a long lunch where you're wanting to keep your wits (or driving ability) about you. Although the draw of this wine is that it's very low alcohol, it's still delicious in it's own right and can be enjoyed any time. There are classic Riesling flavours of citrus fruits and green apples that will make you want to pour another glass - and with Walt, there's no reason why you shouldn't!

The Walt is a collaboration between Pfalz producer Villa Wolf and Walter Siegel, the UK importer of great German wines. Under the helm of legendary Mosel producer Ernie Loosen, Villa Wolf has become one of the go-to Pfalz wineries for quality and drinkability at reasonable prices. These are approachable and show great varietal character.
German Riesling is a real jack-of-all-trades, and it can range from bone dry, to incredibly sweet, and can also be used to make sparkling wines. It can now add low-alcohol wines to it's CV!
