The man behind this wine is a bit of a legend in wine circles, and for good reason! A bottle of his wine is nothing short of fabulous, but his signature Cabernet Sauvignon is something else. To not try it would be akin to visiting Naples and not having pizza!

About this wine

Much like a wedding cake, this wine has layer after layer of goodness. From the first sip it's an explosion of black fruit, black cherry and blackcurrant, you name it, its got it! From there things get a little more intense, with hints of dark chocolate and roasted coffee, which add a beautiful richness, but without being overpowering. As for it's texture, this gives silk a run for it's money, it's seriously smooth, dangerously so if you were planning on just one glass.

A wine as smooth talking as this calls for romance, and whether you're taken, a single pringle or just having fun, this wine will have you reaching for the rose petals and candles….

Produced in California

The name Seven Oaks stems from the location of the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon vines from which this wine is made, planted over 30 years ago with a view of 7 majestic oak trees which still stand today.

Fifty years ago Jerry Lohr embarked on a career change. Armed with a background in agriculture, he had an innate sense of the relationship between climate, soil and location, which in wine terms equates to something special! Jerry was one of the first growers to explore the central coast of California, he focused on the region of Monterey and Paso Robles, originally planting 280 acres of vines, which has now expanded to 2,700. He is undoubtedly one of the pioneering early influencers in the area. Now over 80 years old, Jerry's children and business partners run the estate, but he keeps a close eye on proceedings!
