About this wine
Cabernet Franc mightn't be the most widely known grape variety on the planet, but this one deserves to be on your radar. Elegant but approachable, it's an epic introduction to the versatility and quality that South Africa has to offer.
Although Cabernet Franc is a grape widely used and appreciated in Bordeaux, this particular wine hails from the sunny and picturesque region of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Coming from a warmer climate, you get this really ripe palate showing red plums, cherries and raspberries with a touch of tomato leaf - which is quintessential Cabernet Franc. I have always had a soft spot for Cab Franc and it's exactly that leafy, herbal note that makes me want to tuck into roast lamb. And when the sun is shining and it's warm out, I'm also a fan of popping a bottle in the fridge for 15 minutes to give it a refreshing chill - think, "Beaujolais, but badass".
This wine is also organic and vegan.
