About this wine

The CV for this wine is impressive: made in collaboration with a Master of Wine, produced from stellar vineyards in the Entre-deux-mers in Bordeaux, beautifully packaged and the wine punches well above its weight. What's not to love?

If you're anything like us, Bordeaux Blanc can sometimes taste and feel a bit stuffy. Classic and gorgeous, yes, but predictable. Enter the Départment 33, which is aptly named to represent the 33rd French Department, Gironde, for which Bordeaux is the capital. This new kid on the block is anything but stuffy.

Bright and fresh with lovely notes of lemons, limes, peaches and nectarines, this is creamy and textural. A real experience to drink. Savour a glass with loved ones or crack a bottle on your own to reward yourself for being awesome. Either way, we'll support your decision.

What makes it so great/grape?

67%
Sauvignon Blanc

33%
Semillon

Produced in Bordeaux, France

Bordeaux is known for producing top tier, prestigious red wines but the whites are something to behold. Good Bordeaux Blanc perfectly combines Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon to create round wines that keep their freshness and are capable of ageing.

The Départment 33 was made from machine harvested grapes, which were picked in the early morning to preserve freshness. They had a few hours of skin contact to provide some colour and texture and then the wine was matured for 8 months in one year old French Bordeaux Barriques.
