About this wine
The words ‘crisp’ and ‘fresh’ get a lot of airtime in the wine world, but here they really match the contents of the bottle. The wine is packed with lemon and lime, but to make things really exciting there is some viognier for floral and stone fruit flavours that are chef kiss good.
Vermentino is an exciting grape. Sure, it’s classic Italian and this is France, but there’s a reason that more and more wine in Languedoc is getting all Vermentino-d up. It makes a wine that is similar to Sauvignon Blanc, but without the price tag for such high quality, so this bottle is a secret superstar.

Produced in Languedoc, France
Crafted by the skilful winemaking team at Maison Boutinot, the grapes are sourced from vineyards nearer to Lake Thau (which, FYI, was formerly a volcanic region). The team pick the grapes early in the morning to help preserve a lot of the fresh acidity and begin vinification in the traditional way - gentle pressing and cool fermentation.
The Languedoc has come leaps and bounds over the last decade. Previously know as a region that produces inexpensive wines from a long list of international varieties, there has been a significant movement among producers to focus on more premium wines that show the true potential of the many different sites in the region.
